What is Venturing?
Venturing is an inclusive program through the Boy Scouts of America for males and females aged 14-20 (or 13 and completed the 8th grade). It’s operated through Venturing Crews, which are units of youth and advisors that meet on set schedules to plan activities and events.
Who is Venturing Crew 42?
In May 2022; Venturing Crew 42 was officially started by Mike & Alice Smith, Scott & Jessica Homuth, Crystal Baker, Phillip Barak, Chris & Tracy Bradley, James and April Neff, Trey Clark, and their sons and daughters, who had mostly achieved the rank of Eagle and were active in the Order of the Arrow and wanted to to embark on new adventures and finding what more scouting had to offer.
Standard Operating Procedures
Crew 42 has a program of activities and awards designed for any youth who is a chartered and authorized member. This crew membership is open to all youths 14 years of age to 21 years of age, regardless of race, creed and religions, physical or mental challenge. The activities and operation of Crew 42 are fully sanctioned by the Boy Scouts of America. The crew operates within their guidelines and policies of Boy Scouts of America and the guidelines of the charter organization.
